I know it’s been awhile. I have been BUSY. I opened a yoga studio and my oh my!
I am seriously in love with it.
Granted, it’s not where I saw myself…. at first. If I were being 100% honest, I saw myself starting a healthy-ish food truck. That’s where I imagined my love of cooking and all things gourmet would take me. Down a path of yummy, delicious, kitchen mishaps and successes.
Yet, that’s not what was in the cards.
I opened a yoga studio and found that the journey is often never as straight forward as one may hope.
I will provide an update on the studio in a future post but for now I want to share a simple pleasure.
My days are hectic and crazy.
One thing that helps keep me sane? Doing laundry.
Okay, I am not crazy about the idea of doing laundry but I love the fact that I can do laundry at home. In my robe. While watching Netflix. And eating spoonfuls of chocolate.
I never owned my own washer and dryer until now. And it makes a BIG difference!
No more driving with baskets of clothes until we can find a non-sketchy looking laundromat.
No more uncomfortable sitting in laundromats while kids scream and we wait for our clothes to dry.
No more waiting on machines to become available.
No more collecting quarters like our life depended on it.
No more wondering if the person who used the washer and dryer before us had bedbugs (something a friend told me should be a concern because her apartment complex had a big outbreak).
I am thankful for laundromats but today as I was doing laundry in the comfort of our home, I made a plan for my evening hot yoga class and the two private yoga sessions I have this afternoon, started reading To Kill a Mockingbird all while listening to The Civil Wars…. I realized how relaxed and thankful I am.
Mr. HungryYogi made a table for us to fold (one thing I took away from laundromats- you want a folding table) and our machines have been a dream. Plus I love the metalic gray color.
The shelves are also pretty awesome for storing supplies (no more lugging washer powder from the car to a laundromat).
Thank you laundromats, but you are one relationship I don’t miss.
Love, Life, Health, Happiness and a Full belly,
